Questions and Answers ....

The following questions and answers should provide some direction and comfort to those who suffer the loss of a pet.

How do I know it’s my ashes I receive back?

We are extremely proud of our reputation within the pet industry and we are used and recommended by local veterinary hospitals. Once deceased pets are in our care, each pet destined for a private cremation is tagged with a permanent metal identification tag. The tag stays with the pet from pick-up to delivery of cremated remains.

Can I give personal effects to be taken with my pet?

Yes, of course you can. Small items such as photos, favorite toys, blankets and collars can be placed in the crematorium with your pet.

What if I don’t want my pets’ ashes back?

If you don’t wish to have your pet’s ashes back, Wolfes’ Whispering Winds will scatter the cremated remains in the Evergreen Memorial Scattering Garden, located in Chebanse, IL.

What will I be charged?

We have arranged a system with most Veterinarian Hospitals whereby you only need to request our services and they will bill you directly. You must, however, let your veterinarian know whether you want a private or communal cremation. Remember though that your bill may reflect examination, and euthanization charges as well as cremation costs.

What if my pet dies at home?

If your pet should die at home, then you would call us directly. Our charges will be based on the weight of your pet. Arrangements can be made to meet at our facility.
